WELCOME TO Cantiague Elementary school

Cantiague Elementary School, 2012 National Blue Ribbon School, is a "Bucket Filling" community where we focus on the social, emotional and academic growth of each child. Our daily goal is to establish a strong personal and academic foundation rooted in the Super Six – Being a Super Star, Being Responsible, Being Respectful, Being Safe, Being Positive, and Being Kind because with these core values in place, we can each accomplish anything. At Cantiague Elementary, we are changing the world, one bucket at a time! Check out our 21st Century take on the traditional VISION STATEMENT...

The Snack Option is a Churro in the cafeteria on Tuesday, March 28, 2017

ELA Testing for Grades 3, 4 & 5 will begin on Tuesday, March 28th.  Testing dates are March 28, 29, & 30.

Each year in New York State, students in Grades 3, 4 & 5 participate in state tests in the areas of English Language Art and Mathematics.   Students in Grade 4 will also be taking a Science Assessment in the spring.  More information about the Science Assessment will follow.  The schedule for the testing dates is as follows…

ELA:  March 28, 29, 30, 2017 (Make up dates: Friday, March 31 – Wednesday, April 5)

Math:  May 2, 3, 4, 2017 (Make-Up Dates: Friday, May 5 – Wednesday, May 10)

Testing begins in the morning, so it is important that your child arrive to school on time.  If your child is ill on a testing day, makeup tests will be administered. Tests will begin in the morning on each of these dates and because the tests will be untimed this year, the end time may look a little different for each student.  If you have any questions about the testing, please feel free to speak with your child’s teacher or email me directly.

Incoming Kindergarten Registration for the 2017-18 school year has begun!  If you have a child who will be 5 years old on or before December 1, 2017 or know a neighbor who has an incoming K student, please have them stop by Cantiague and register. If you have any questions, please call the Main Office at 203-3650.
