Dear Cantiague Families,

I am honored and delighted to be the new principal of the Cantiague Elementary School.  I have already had the privilege of visiting Cantiague to meet your amazing children, Cantiague’s wonderful staff and many dedicated parents.  The time I have spent with Dr. Sinanis and everyone at Cantiague, learning about this incredible school, fills me with enthusiasm and joy!  I know how fortunate I am to follow Dr. Sinanis as a lead learner at the Cantiague School.  To say he takes great pride in his work and school is an understatement.

Although I’m just beginning to learn everything there is to learn about Cantiague, it is apparent that this incredible school is truly a place “where kids want to be.”  Cantiague’s commitment to Compassion, Excellence and Teamwork exemplifies the learning environment that I am committed to fostering at our school.  As an educator for twenty-two years, I have had the privilege of championing a love of learning alongside incredible students, talented educators and dedicated families.   At Cantiague, one of my first priorities is to build strong relationships with Cantiague’s children, their families, our staff and all members of the school community.  It is important for me to discover more about the rich learning experiences and traditions to which everyone at Cantiague has contributed.  I am inspired by Cantiague’s creative, supportive and nurturing environment and all that is possible in a place that places children first.

On a personal note, my husband Jeff and I live in Northport with our ten year old son, Gio, and our dog, Coco.  Our weekends are often filled with soccer games, hiking, spending time outdoors, visiting with family and friends, exploring parks, museums and zoos, reading books together and laughing.

Thank you in advance for welcoming me to this kind, caring, and impressive learning community.   I look forward to greeting you and your children personally as the principal of the Cantiague Elementary School.  Please do not hesitate to contact me at gfaust@jerichoschools.org or 516-203-3650 with any questions you may have.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Gina Faust
